雜記(2008/01/31) 今天英文廣論抄讀功課停在p.170, ch.13, vol. 3.倒數第六行,相當於漢譯卷十八終。 英譯與漢譯之間對於入中論釋顯然有不同的解讀,這當中也包括我自己在理解上沒有自信,先分別抄錄如下: 漢譯:(pp.43613~43702) 入中論釋云:「如於繩上蛇是?計,於實蛇是圓成實。如是自性,若於緣起諸所作性依他起上是為?計,於佛行境立為圓成,如是了知三性建立。次當解說經中密意,『若經所說非實意,知不了義當引釋。』」 英譯:(line 6, p.170, ch.13, vol.3) Candrak?rti’s Explanation of the “Middle Way” Commentary says: For example, a snake is an imaginary construct when conceived in relation to a rope, but is perfectly real when conceived in relation to an actual snake. Similarly, a nature is an imaginary construct when conceived with regard to contingent entities, which are dependently arisen fabrications. However, as the object of a buddha, it is considered perfectly real. Understand the presentation of the three natures in this way; then explain what the S?tra Unravelling the Intended Meaning means. [621] He states this as commentary on these lines from his Commentary on the “Middle Way” : Any s?tra that explains something that is not reality, And sets forth the provisional, should be understood as such and interpreted. 先從漢譯說起,從標點符號的含義來看,這整段文字都是出自於《入中論釋》,雙引號(『』)內的文字則是《入中論釋》引用某經論,然而無法由字面推測出自何部經論。因為它的前題只明示了次當解說經中密意。就我的理解,這好像是接下來的若經所說應該準備闡釋某部經的一段經文,也就是要解說雙引號內的經文。可是,顯然《入中論釋》已引用完畢,而之後的本文一直到卷十八終應是宗大師對於《入中論釋》內容的闡釋。 換從英譯文字理解,似乎《入中論釋》的文字只到次當解說經中密意為止,而我對於英譯文字的理解與漢譯顯然不同。我的理解是: 《入中論釋》云:「……如是了知三性建立,即當解說(解深密)經中密意。」 然後,我從英譯文字理解,漢譯雙引號內的文字『若經所說非實意,知不了義當引釋。』似乎應該是屬於《入中論》的文字。 換句話說,上一段的《入中論釋》是對雙引號內的文字所作之解釋。 注:以上是我抄讀英文廣論後的立即想法,仍有待努力求證於《入中論》與《入中論釋》。
